Key marathon mistakes:
- Going a little bit too fast too early
- Somewhat uneven pacing
- Insufficient muscle strength. Time to hit the gym!
- Lack of endurance and stamina required for significantly improving the marathon time
Key half marathon mistakes:
- There is a clear need to improve the 10K performance quite significantly
- More mental strength needed for kilometers 15-18
- Interval training sessions should probably include more 2-4km repeats (instead of 1km repeats) for better tempo endurance
- Increasing training paces too early in the season has meant "peaking" way too early in the season
